Perfect Finishing Touch Bathroom Re-Modelling Project

Bathrooms have become very big business over the past few years, every conceivable gadget that you could only have read about when a child is now available for your bathroom. Bathroom re-modelling is very popular with just about every age group, with the older generation craving an en suite bathroom for every bedroom and the younger generation desiring the latest toys and gadgets in their bathroom. The bathroom really has become an inner sanctum for many families, with each family in the land putting their own unique stamp on their bathroom. Unlike every other room in the house the bathroom truly is a private room, out of bounds to most people. When we have guests round we have a guest bathroom which is easily accessible from the living rooms but this is likely to be just a generic bathroom which has a function and serves the purpose very well. But our own family bathrooms can be totally different to this, even more so if you are lucky enough to have an en suite bathroom or two. Many of the reasons behind this is because we all have our own little bathroom habits that we stick to, the way we wash our face, the way we brush our teeth and even the way we shave. We want the bathroom to be our room, there for just us and our partners. So what can we do to make our bathroom that little bit special and make it feel like our own little space in the middle of our home?

It would be very easy to spend a small fortune on styling your bathroom exactly the way you wanted it, you could take out a second mortgage to finance any very grand plans that you may have but in reality you probably do not need to as for a fraction of the cost you can tailor your bathroom to exactly your style. The bathroom in many cases is going to be the smallest room in the house, granted some bathrooms are bigger than others but it is very rare indeed to find a bathroom that is bigger than another room in the house. For this reason you can generally get away with making smaller, more refined changes to the bathroom and getting bigger results from the changes. Colour is obviously very important in a very small room; if you can get away with it you are always better going for very subtle paler colours to give the room a more airy feel to it. Always try to match the colour scheme of the walls to the major fixtures and fittings. It is a lot cheaper to change the colours on a wall than it is to change a bathroom suite and unless you really have to change a suite because it is faulty or not style you want then change the colour not the suite.
